We're back...

After 3 nights in Coffs Harbour, 1 night at Hallidays Point, and 1 night at my sister-in-law's house, we're home - and more than ready to sleep in our beds tonight!

Yesterday was the family Xmas with Pete's side.  A few tears were shed at times, being the first one without Pete's Mum, but we all rallied around and supported each other.  Present time was a flurry of unwrapping - you can imagine the chaos with 8 kids opening at once..

Even Santa made a surprise visit :)

Santa's certainly a busy little vegemite at the moment.  He came to visit our neighbourhood this afternoon in the fire truck, handing out lollies for the kids..  (The local bush fire brigade do the rounds of the neighbourhood streets at this time every year - kids suddenly appear from nowhere at the sound of the sirens mingling with Christmas songs :) )

Santa must be very toasty in his winter get-up! It's very cool the FD makes the rounds :)

Our fire department does that too! In fact, they just came by this morning.

It's always hard to have that first big holiday after losing a loved one. My thoughts and prayers for your family.

Peace and Laughter,
Cristina

Sounds like a nice pre-Christmas getaway. What was the park at Coff's like? I'm looking for somewhere to stay on the way to and from Surfers next year.

Gald you had time with your family. The first Christmas without a parent is the hardest. Hang in there. After that the hoilday memories come out. Like my dad handing out the presents in his underwaer.LOL! My siblings and I talk about that every C-mas among other good memories.

Libby, the park at Coffs was great! Not just the fantastic water slides / pool etc, but the sites were tidy & level, amenities clean, staff friendly etc. The cabins looked pretty nice from the outside too.
