Twas the night before the party ... and Mummy was sitting down exhausted lol!
Billy's birthday party is tomorrow and I'm about as ready as I'm going to get. (Apart from a missing bag of groceries that I'm hoping is in the car somewhere!)
The cake is iced, ready for Billy to decorate tomorrow, carpets vacuumed, rooms tidied, floors mopped. In a way I like getting ready for his party - it's a lot of work, but at least the whole house looks clean & tidy - inside & out - at once! It's not something that happens often!
We have 50 people coming - it sounds a lot but it's mostly family & a few friends. Pete is one of 4 kids and each sibling has between 1 and 3 children, so that makes up the bulk of it!
The weather of course has decided to be difficult with a forecast of "Numerous Showers. Mostly Cloudy. Mild." That is better than the "Heavy rain" that was Sunday's forecast a couple of days ago!
I think next year I'm going to have to quarantine Billy for a month before his birthday - after last year's high temperatures and the year before's ear infection and ruptured eardrum! He has been absolutely fine for weeks - and woke up this morning with a cough & cold. I've had him on Vitamin C tablets today but he seemed to be running a slight temperature tonight - I've dosed him up with cough mixture and sent him for an early night. Hopefully a good night's sleep will do the trick. Hopefully we all get a good night's sleep!
Speaking of which - this little duck is off to bed.

Hope you all had a great day Kez! And the cr@ppy weather didn't dampen your spirits too much - we're holed up eating soup and watching a movie here! Thank goodness it's suposed to be the last day of winter :-)
