Rain gauge
We're learning about weather at the moment. It rained this morning, so I thought "aha - a perfect time to make a rain gauge".
By the time we finished making it, the sky was clear again! Have I guaranteed it won't rain again in the foreseeable future??!
(And yes, I know it doesn't look entirely accurate but close enough for our purposes! And yes, I probably should've cleared away the cobwebs before I took the photo - can I say we're studying insects as well?!)
This is a really good website for younger kids about weather - http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/whatisweather/aboutweather/index.shtml I learnt all about clouds today :)
