I wish...

that library books & CDs had a special "find" feature.. So you could just press a button and know where the lost item is hiding in the house.. It would save a lot of time & money.. Anyone want to invent it please?

Rather like a cordless telephone... Press the "Handset Locator" button and it bleep-bleep-bleeps to let you know where it is. :-D

Funny you should say this: we just found two audio book CDs I was ALMOST ready to pay for from the library. We'd looked high and low but we couldn't find them.

One thing that (usually) works for us: there is only 1 place in the house where the audio books are stored. They must be returned there after listening. In this instance they were stored in a handy spot never used before, which is how they GOT LOST. Argh.

Argh, I hate 'finding' library books!!! I keep my receipt and try and tick off each one before we go back to return whatever we found, but almost inevitably we leave one "unfound" at home somewhere and beg for a renewal!

That's one of the best ideas I've ever heard!

Have you tried looking under the car seat? Over the years, I've found one audiobook and a *number* of library books hiding in those dark, cozy below-seat worlds. It seems that both my guys (one's a grown up by the way) find those to be the most convenient stash spots.

Sounds like a great idea. And how about one that beeps when it's time to take them back too!

I'm glad I'm not the only one to think this would be helpful :)

Tomorrow's agenda - tear the house apart looking for the missing CD before the fees get too much more!
