I never understood...

why my mum would practically kill herself every year cleaning the house before we went away on holidays.. Now I do... :)

It used to be just about unbearable for me to come home from holiday to a less-than-perfect house. I've mostly gotten over it, but still have my little "non-negotiable" items. Pick your battles, babe :) - Mo

I hear you! Just hosted the in-laws over the weekend for our holiday meal and with all the cooking, cleaning, running around picking up groceries & booze, etc...I am just exhausted!

In the car a few days ago, driving past a very packed parking lot in a mall, I was trying to remember the magic of Christmas. I had no idea how much work it was for the parents.

I never got it either, but it's so worth the effort!!

I completely understand. We leave tomorrow for an overnight trip. We will be home by dinner on Christmas Eve. Then we have company coming over for Christmas dinner. I am freaking out just a little bit. Of course if I could conquer the laundry from our Disney trip life would be good. LOL!!

it is so worth the headache before to not have extra work after, when you are truly tired. Merry Christmas!

We're not going away this year, but we are hosting. So I'll be busting butt tomorrow to clean house. Even though I know the house will be completely thrashed after everything is said and done...sigh....
And of course I'll share the link to my other blog with you!:-) You're practically one of my biggest fans, so I wouldn't think of leaving you behind!
